Trade policy diversification can strengthen EU supply-chain resilience

A new analysis from the National Board of Trade Sweden outlines the EU’s efforts to strengthen supply-chain resilience.

The analysis notes that the EU’s strategic dependencies are concentrated in a small number of products, mainly imported from non-OECD countries such as China.

To build genuine resilience, it recommends stronger risk assessments with industry, a more open and integrated single market – particularly for services and capital – and trade diversification towards trusted partners.
