A new analysis from the National Board of Trade Sweden presents ten priorities to support a more coordinated and evidence-based economic security agenda.

The priorities build on the EU’s three existing pillars – protect, promote and partner – while adding a fourth: prepare. The analysis highlights the EU’s single market as a foundation of its economic strength. It also emphasises the importance of working closely with like-minded countries to reduce strategic dependencies.

“We hope that these priorities can contribute to the EU’s economic security without sacrificing openness or competitiveness”, says Hannes Berggren, trade policy adviser and author of the analysis.
