Anders Ahnlid heads the EU working group on frozen assets

The Director-General of the National Board of Trade Sweden, Anders Ahnlid, has been appointed by the government to lead a working group that will investigate the possibilities of using frozen Russian for the reconstruction of Ukraine.
The group will consist of representatives from EU member states and during Sweden's presidency of the EU, the group will be led by Anders Ahnlid.
The group will work on the legal, financial, economic, and political analysis of the conditions for using frozen Russian assets in the reconstruction of Ukraine.
The decision regarding the working group was taken by Coreper II (the Committee of the Permanent Representatives of the Governments of the Member States to the European Union) on Wednesday 15 February.
