When trading partners cooperate on technical barriers to trade it can both facilitate green transition and eliminate trade barriers. In this report, the National Board of Trade identifies the most efficient regulatory cooperation approaches.

– A number of mechanisms would be beneficial to include in ambitious regulatory cooperation initiatives to prevent TBTs. These also offer significant opportunities to promote sustainable development goals.

By identifying the best regulatory mechanisms in 14 free trade agreements worldwide, the National Board of Trade has put together a smorgasbord of what we believe are the best regulatory cooperation approaches.
